Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions workshops

ASI has partnered with CICOA Aging and In-Home Solutions in teaching the "Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions" program. This interactive, self-management wellness workshop, developed by Stanford University, is open to any adult. It is specially designed to help caregivers and participants with chronic conditions, such as Arthritis, Asthma, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Osteoporosis and more. This evidence-based class is designed to help individuals who want to take charge of their life and live it to the fullest. Participants will:

  • Set goals, develop their plan and track their progress
  • Learn how to better communicate with their nurse, doctor and family about their health
  • Find practical ways to deal with pain, fatigue and stress
  • Discover better nutrition and fitness choices
  • Learn breathing and relaxation exercises
  • Get the support they need from people who have similar experiences
